The Pulse of London is a machine that mixes our organism with sound and architecture. It receives the pulse of each visitors to generate its own beat: it needs our vein to sing its instrument. The goal is to experience an inner architecture through an heartbeat landscape generated by a human interface. Our basic rhythm is the source of a collective beat that becomes the sound of a whole town. The Pulse of London is a sound sculpture. It is a custom made sound system that let its membrane swing and vibrate. The experience of all those heartbeats gives us the imaginative spectrum of a collective voice: the city surrounding us becomes a whole organism with a common source of life inside of each person.
